Short Term Rental House Cleaner Job Description

​

Every Airbnb cleaner knows that this job is a little different than just cleaning a standard residential home. An Airbnb cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior of the household, which includes: sweeping, washing, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and sanitizing all areas and surfaces, making beds and changing linens as well as ensuring the home is staged property for guest arrival.

To be successful as an STR cleaner, you should have great stamina, a positive attitude, and great attention to detail. Top-notch candidates should display their ability to be reliable, efficient, and have respect for the host's home and guests.

​

Previous short term rental cleaning experience preferred, but not required.

​

Housecleaning Requirements:

*Making beds and changing linen.

*Washing, drying, folding linen and towels.

*Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and washing floors.

*Washing and drying dishes, cleaning kitchen appliances and all surfaces.

*Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers, tubs, windows, and bathroom counters.

*Vacuuming carpets, upholstery, and any other dusty surface.

*Taking out trash and packaging dirty linen for removal from home.

*Restocking and restaging short term rental unit for guest arrival.

*Maintaining a positive disposition.

*Working well with others in teams.

*Must have Great observational skills and attention to detail.

*Must own a smart phone with internet capability ability to download apps.

*Must have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license, current registration and proof of auto insurance.

*Must be reliable, trustworthy, and dependable.

*Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

*This is an Independent Contractor 1099 position. (Not a W2 employee job)

*Must pass a criminal background check.

Schedule:

• Must be available during peak cleaning times - Sunday through Thursday between 10am and 6pm

​
